The architectural setting for performance can support the creative energy between the performer and audience. Whether in the school, professional theatre, a ‘found’ space or a newly conceived venue, it is that collaborative relationship between designer and user that creates spaces of sufficient character that will simultaneously provide and allow for what we call the potential of ‘incredible performance’. That experience focuses on the performance space however it begins on the street outside for the audience: the journey through the foyer to the auditorium - 'from street to seat'. And for the performer the transistion into character that occurs 'back of house'. Experience Eden Court Theatre and our Centre for Contemporary Arts in Glasgow.
