At the same time as the healing environment cares for the physical wellbeing of the occupants, the sensual experience of space must also care for their emotional and spiritual health. We need to reflect carefully on how people are affected by particular configurations of materials, form and light. Natural materials offer subtle colour variations and varied textures intensifying the sense of being in the real world, which evokes an inherent feeling of comfort and belonging to the place.

Our experience here shows Maggie's Centre's in Glasgow and Inverness and the Centre for Scottish War Blinded at Linburn.
