Breaking ground at Birmingham Symphony Hall

Page\Park was in attendance yesterday at the ground breaking ceremony for Birmingham Symphony Hall’s ‘Making an Entrance’ project. In the wonderful setting of the hall itself, we listened as Symphony Hall outlined their ambitious vision of transforming their venue, and delivering ‘more music to more people’.

Focusing on the audience experience, the project seeks to extend and transform the existing foyers and provide a new face to Symphony Hall addressing Centenary Square. The glazed facade reveals three levels of activity – a busy entrance level café/bar at stalls level, a double height foyer space for the Dress and Upper Circles levels in which performance and events can be easily staged, topped by two new hospitality spaces at Grand Tier level.

The presentation concluded with the screening of a new flythrough, produced by Page\Park, with specially commissioned music by Stella Roberts.
