Arts & Culture
We are delighted that two of our theatre projects are included as case studies in Dr Alistair Fair’s new book ‘Play On’ published by Lund Humphries. The book explores current themes in contemporary theatre architecture in Britain through projects delivered between 2008 to 2018, with an inevitable focus on sustainability, accessibility and the need for theatres to be welcoming public spaces.
Our projects for Scottish Opera’s Theatre Royal in Glasgow and the Leeds Playhouse are featured as case studies. These describe the client vision and the architectural design ideas behind the project, before describing project delivery. These fulsome accounts should appeal to theatre enthusiasts and organisations contemplating a capital development project of their own.
