On Wednesday 14th September we dusted off our old bikes, added a bit sparkle to our new ones and even gave Glasgow’s public bike sharing service a go, all in aid of national Cycle to Work Day. Cycle to Work Day is promoted by Cyclescheme who we use as our provider for the Cycle to Work Scheme, supported by the Government’s Green Transport Plan.
For some of us it was the first time on a bike in many years, for others just another day travelling to the office. We believe that cycling is a great way to connect with the wider city around us – seeing streets, people and nature that we would otherwise miss on our daily commute by car or public transport. To reward ourselves we had a big cycle breakfast of pastries and coffee which gave us a chance to share our commuting stories and tips.
