We are pleased to sponsor an exhibition organised by Glasgow City Heritage Trust and produced in association with Docomomo Scotland entitled 'Building Scotland 1945-1985'.
As described by GCHT "The exhibition explores how Scotland’s recent past is reflected in its diverse built environment, and how this heritage is cared for and protected. The exhibition looks beyond the most famous (or infamous) examples of Scotland’s 20th century architecture and includes lesser-known buildings as well as designed landscapes and art objects which illustrate important aspects of the nation’s modern history." The exhibition features images, an architectural model and fabric samples showing design from this period.
The well attended opening event and private view on Monday 15th July featured talks from three modernism enthusiasts Ross Brown, Nick Haynes and Alan Shaw.
The exhibition is held at Glasgow City Heritage Trust, 54 Bell Street, Glasgow and runs from Monday 15th July-Monday 2nd September open between 10am-4pm Monday-Friday.
