Glasgow School of Art Library windows complete

The repair and conservation of the Glasgow School of Art Mackintosh Library windows was completed in December 2013. The Library windows were removed in their entirety before a process of careful restoration was undertaken to return them to their original glory. This is the latest element of work in Page \ Park's long association with the repair and conservation of the Mackintosh Building and, as in other areas, required thorough research on Mackintosh's original details. All is not as it seems as these windows had been repaired and adapted in previous generations due to failure of the original details. The spirit of Mackintosh's architectural treatment of this world famous but highly exposed west elevation has been respected but with unseen adjustments to ensure long term integrity.
