We are pleased to announce that our £25m refurbishment project at Kelvin Hall in Glasgow’s West End received planning permission last week. The works are the first phase of a wider plan to turn the Kelvin Hall into a major west end hub for culture and sports. The first phase of the project will provide archive storage space for both Glasgow Museums and Hunterian collections along with new Glasgow LIfe sports facilities including a large gym, sports hall and dance studios. The project will also provide office and education space for the Hunterian and the Scottish Screen Archive.
The project is programmed to start on site in spring 2014, with completion estimated as early 2016.
