Planning Permission for the Great Tapestry of Scotland

We are pleased to share that Planning permission has been granted to create a new home for the Great Tapestry of Scotland in Galashiels. The project involves the conversion of the former Post Office on Channel Street in Galashiels, and the creation of a new build gallery that will house the Great Tapestry of Scotland, telling Scotland's story in a fresh yet traditional way, making it accessible to all ages and interests. The new cultural centre will include facilities for visiting exhibitions, flexible space for education, learning and events and a new café.

Working in collaboration with Goodson Associates, Atelier 10 and Turner & Townsend the project is due to start on site in late 2018.
