The RICS Awards Scotland held their annual awards ceremony on Wed 26th April where our Kelvin Hall Refurbishment was awarded “Project of the Year”. The project was also award winner in the “Tourism & Leisure” category. The judges commented “The Kelvin Hall stood out for its scale, complexity, mix of uses, diverse community outreach and inclusivity. The co-location of state-of-the-art facilities for leisure, culture and learning has opened a new chapter in the history of the Kelvin Hall and has delivered a long-term viable future for an important piece of Glasgow’s architectural and cultural heritage.”
We were delighted to share the occasion with the Kelvin Hall project team including Glasgow Life, McLaughlin and Harvey Construction, Gardiner & Theobald and Harley Haddow. The project is now in the running to compete against other regional winners at the national RICS Award Grand Final on 2 November 2017.
