Robert Oakeshott Lecture

Will Hutton gave the Employee Ownership Association’s annual Robert Oakeshott Lecture at the Cass Business School on 11th February and called for more engaged ownership to bring value back into the UK economy.

Citing stalled economic growth, increasing inequality and a lack of innovation as warning signs of underlying weakness he made a plea for UK businesses to clarify their purpose, in order to develop more trust and better engagement of employees, customers and communities.

As an architecture practice we have a head start as our purpose, to make great buildings, drives everything we do, and our employee ownership model means we’re all engaged in the future of our business.
