Seminar: Untangling the Post-War Campus

There is a huge drive in the increasingly competitive higher education sector to improve campus environments, to serve students, support excellent staff and attract research investment. Historically this has generally resulted in the expansion and spread of post war campuses, resulting in ever more complex estates with challenges in efficiencies and infrastructure.

At Glasgow Caledonian University there has been a slightly different approach: that of ‘intensification’ and ‘reinvention’ of the existing post-war urban campus setting – taking the opportunity to untangle the years of incremental growth, to reinvent a compact and connected campus.

Join us at our seminar at Glasgow Caledonian University to engage in a discussion about this process of reinvention, and to see the results first hand with a building tour of our recently completed ‘Heart of Campus’ project.
