215 High Street – The Civic Room
The former British Linen Bank at 215 High Street is Category B listed building by Glasgow architects James Salmon and Son. Dating from 1895, 215 High Street is one of the remaining historic fragments of this section of the High Street.
Earlier this year we completed a study on 215 High Street for The Civic Room, a not for profit contemporary art gallery, in which we looked at both the fabric condition and also exploring potential uses. The study was supported by Architectural Heritage Fund and Glasgow City Heritage Trust.
The Civic Room are now seeking opinions on the future of 215 High Street as part of their consultation process.
