EO Day 2021 #BetterTogether

40th Anniversary

EO Day 2021 #BetterTogether

Today we are celebrating Employee Owned Business Day!

Page\Park was established in 1981 by our two founding partners: David Page & Brian Park. We transitioned to an Employee Owned (EO) business in 2013; as a practice we wanted a business model which will allow us to move forward and grow whilst protecting our values and culture in perpetuity.

At Page\Park we are all encouraged to take responsibility within the business, to be involved in the decision making and each to pursue work and research in sectors that we are passionate about.

We share financial information, so we are all aware of the financial health of the business. We reinvest our profit into the business and our people in areas such as training, research and technology, and when we can we share profits with all of our employees.

A portion of our profit goes to our charitable fund which supports a wide variety of causes, including the Stephen Lawrence Trust, sponsorship of students through architecture school and to the Architects Benevolent Society, which assists architects facing financial hardship.

Today marks the 9th annual EO Day and as a practice we have celebrated every year (with the exception of 2020) and are back with a vengeance this year, marking the day with a visit to one of our newly completed buildings, the Great Tapestry of Scotland Gallery. The gallery in Galashiels will become the permanent home of the world’s longest tapestry designed to narrate the nation’s history. We also had the pleasure of visiting Netherdale Football Stadium in Galashiels, the Category A Listed building by architect Peter Womersley.

Page\Park are actively involved with the EO community in Scotland and there is data which shows that employee owned businesses have a happier and more productive work force. We are all in this together for the good of our future, and our business.

As the theme for EO Day 2021 says #BetterTogether.
