‘Leeds Look’ Event – Identity & Belonging

Last night Director Nicola Walls sat on the panel for the Leeds Look event organised by Leeds Modernist Group, Leeds Civic Trust and CEG, hosted at Kirkstall Forge. This sell out event saw 7 panellists give varied presentations on the past present and future of Leeds before opening to the floor for a lively discussions on the merits – or otherwise – of the ‘Leeds Look’ buildings of the 1980 and 1990’s, place making and sustainable growth for the city.

Nicola spoke briefly about our redevelopment of Leeds Playhouse and the ideas behind the ceramic façade – to create a new visual identity that reflects creativity, energy, drama and welcome – and a façade that feels rooted, relevant and representative of the Leeds Playhouse, their audiences and the city.
