Aoife Nolan

Part II Architectural Assistant · Joined 2023

Just as we try to understand local context and cultures, working with existing buildings takes time and care. The aim is that this is reciprocated once a project is completed, creating environments that are conscientious, harmonious and inspiring.

Aoife graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2020 with First Class Honours, receiving the ASSA Prize for Best Professional Studies student. In 2019, she founded Glasgow-based, independent magazine -ism which co-curated Scotland’s place in the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale and is currently working on its fifth issue. In her spare time, she enjoys writing and editing, having written for Architect’s Journal, RIAS Quarterly and Barbara Journal.

Aoife is predominantly involved in our Housing and Conservation team. Her interest in the built environment centres around its role in the history of people and place. She hopes to continue working with and learning from existing building projects in Page\Park, understanding how to draw out their potential to meet contemporary needs in face of the climate emergency.
