Great architecture is one that responds to its context, that responds to its people.

Craig has been with us since 2022, graduating from The University of Dundee with a Master’s in Architecture with Urban Planning with a First-Class Honours. Gaining this unique combined qualification gives Craig a holistic understanding of both the wider urban and social context, down to intricate construction drawings. This is bolstered by his Architecture Technology HND studies at the City of Glasgow College. Craig has presented at workshops such as the ‘Essential Shifts’ symposium and was selected to represent his university in the Normal Foster Scholarship ‘21 and the AJ Sustainable Design Student Award ‘22.

During Craig’s studies, he investigated resilient and people-friendly places, bolstered by great architecture. On a strategic level, he used fabric metaphors like stitching, hemming, and embellishing to weave a narrative, taking a softer approach to the improvement of the urban fabric. His final resolution was presented through beautifully expressed structure and impressive drawings.

Craig has used his knowledge to assist on a variety of sectors during his time here, including Conservation, City & Land and Education. He continues to learn and hone his skills, currently working towards his RIBA Part 3 accreditation with future ambitions of becoming an RTPI Chartered Town Planner.
