Jonathan is a key member of our conservation, sustainability, and housing teams where he drives strong emphasis on architectural research. He has a particular interest in understanding the role and possibilities associated with developing technologies and how this knowledge can support clients deliver sustainable and cost-effective projects within complex historic settings.

Jonathan has rich experience working with historic buildings. His project clients have ranged from church organisations and housing associations to private landowners. He was project architect on the complex conservation of Rosslyn Castle, an A-Listed medieval building which sits within a scheduled monument and an area of protected woodlands. The project evolved from the PP authored conservation management plan for the full estate at Rosslyn Chapel.

Jonathan is adept at working within large and complex team structures and comfortable in client facing roles. His experience and knowledge of complex conservation projects and sustainable design is underpinned by his long-standing interest in historic buildings, first developed during his academic career, where he studied internationally in Venice, Italy. These interests formed the basis for his thesis based on the conservation of early 19th century architecture, more specifically Brutalist housing schemes, combining all aspects of his interests and studies.
